After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1974, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at Northern Illinois University. After graduating in 1976, He began working at the Jefferson Trust and Savings Bank in Peoria, Ill. There, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD served as Vice President of Investments until 1979, when he chose to pursue a career in medicine instead. He moved to Jalisco, Mexico in 1979 and began studying medicine at the Independent University of Guadalajara. He graduated in 1982 and continued his medical education in Chicago at Loyola University’s School of Medicine.
In 1984, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD moved back to Peoria, Ill., and began his residency at the University of Illinois at Peoria’s Family Clinic. While receiving additional training in obstetrics and gynecology, he finished his residency in 1989. He moved 80 miles north to the small town of Sterling, Ill. and began practicing as an OB/GYN at the Sterling and Rock Falls Clinic, with additional surgical privileges at the adjacent CHG Hospital.
After three years in Sterling, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD moved to Peru, Ill. and opened his own eponymous practice. With surgical privileges at neighboring Illinois Valley Community Hospital and St. Margaret’s Health, his practiced operated successfully for 16 years before he and his wife chose to trade the gray Midwestern skies for the warms of the Southwest and moved to their current home in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD in Glendale has successfully cared patients from his clinic and continues to be the leading OB/GYN in the greater Glendale area.
