Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD began his higher education at Illinois Wesleyan University in 1970. In four years, he achieved his Bachelor of Arts and decided to go north to attend the Northern Illinois University. At this university, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD earned his Master of Business Administration. He accomplished his goal in 1976, and then started his career in the banking industry. At the Jefferson Trust and Savings in Peoria, Illinois. Here he served as their Vice President of Investments. But after three years working in banking, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD decided it was time to go after his medical career dreams.
1979 was a big year for Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD returned to the academic world, but this time he decided to go abroad. At the Independent University of Guadalajara in Mexico, he enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program. Completing the program in three years, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD moved back to his home state of Illinois and enrolled at the Loyola University School of Medicine, graduating from this university in two years
It was shortly after completing his education that Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD joined a residency program. The University of Illinois was proud to have the young physician join their ranks and train in obstetrics and gynecology. After completing his residency, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD began working at the Sterling and Rock Falls Medical Clinic. His work at the clinic occurred before opening a solo clinic in Peru, Illinois, as well as before moving to Arizona to start a new solo practice.
