Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD : Kindness and Improving Return Rates

Kindness is not a requirement in life. There are many mean and uncaring people who get by and many who experience huge amounts of success. However, Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology) believes that kindness is worth the effort. Instead of spending extra effort on other things, showing kindness and caring for each client or patient as an individual is huge. Most people do not experience a sense of individual importance in the majority of places they go. Medical care is one of the few places where it is possible to have a true one-on-one experience.

There are some industries that do not necessarily benefit from kindness and one-on-one care. Most fast-food restaurants have found that although their customers enjoy friendliness, they do not need to make a relationship with their cashier.

However, there are a couple chains that have focused on just that and have been extremely successful as well. Different places offer a different experience, which gives more options and creates a better overall environment for clients and patients.

Medical care is different. Most people want their medical provider and doctors to know them and to care genuinely about them. This can be an important factor when serious issues come up, and drastic measures are required. Overall, practices have found that spending time with each patient increases the return rate and the patient’s trust in them. Dr. Barry Littlejohn MD has worked as an OB/GYN doctor for many years, and has never altered the way he works to take care of each patient as an individual.
